Conan MedTech is currently searching for an experienced Part-Time Accountant who can manage our financial operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting at Conan MedTech. The ideal candidate will work closely with our founder/CEO and team to maintain financial health, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, including bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and managing payroll. The Part-Time Accountant will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls, supporting tax preparation, and assisting with financial planning and analysis. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including bookkeeping.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Budgeting and Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on budgets, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Generate regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Payroll and Tax Compliance
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
  • Manage payroll tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, working with external tax advisors as needed.
Internal Controls and Auditing
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to improve profitability and efficiency.
Experience and Qualifications:
Required
  • Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a startup or small business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Clinical and Medical Operations

Conan MedTech is currently searching for an experienced Clinical Operations Manager who will lead our clinical studies initiatives and collaborate with team members to ensure successful development and regulatory compliance of our Lateral Flow Assay concussion tests. The Clinical Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of clinical operations, including managing clinical studies, developing clinical prototypes, and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. They will build and maintain relationships with clinical partners, oversee the collection and reporting of clinical data, and ensure legal compliance. This role involves working closely with research, regulatory, and legal partners to facilitate smooth clinical operations and drive the successful commercialization of our products.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Studies Management
  • Establish and manage clinical studies, including designing protocols, obtaining approvals, and overseeing trial execution.
  • Develop and manage clinical prototypes, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and manage protocols and consent forms in compliance with regulatory standards.
FDA Integration and Compliance
  • Ensure all clinical activities comply with FDA regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for FDA approval, including managing interactions with FDA representatives.
Clinical Relationships
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical settings, including Emergency Rooms (ERs), Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), and sample collection sites.
  • Coordinate with clinical sites to facilitate smooth operations, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
Statistics and Data Management
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statistical methods.
  • Prepare and present clinical study results to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Experience and Qualifications:
Required
  • Proven experience in running and managing clinical trials for MedTech devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with clinical institutions and navigate the FDA approval process.
  • Strong background in managing clinical data, including statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships from a legal perspective.
Preferred
  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Biomedical Engineering).
  • Experience with insurance companies and understanding of the reimbursement landscape.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
